Build Complex business process for E-Busienss utlilising Web Services

Integrate E-Business Application via service interface

Oracle Integration Repository (OIR) is shipped as part of the E-Business Suite.  OIR is a registration of service endpoints to access Oracle E-Business suite applications. It provides a complete catalogue of Oracle E-Business Suite’s business service interfaces.  The service endpoints lets the user discover and deploy the business service interface for integration with any system, application or business partner. In addition, this infrastructure allows effective business integration between heterogeneous applications, also facilitates the development of complex business process utilising Web services. During the OIR instance patch, the repository is automatically updated with correct revision of E-Business suite.

E-Business suite integrates with SOA Gateway and the user can navigate to OIR to identify the business service required.

The lesson learns that no SQL tools should be used to modify E-business application tables, any change to these tables the user risks destroying the integrity of E-business data and lose the ability to audit changes to the data. Oracle E-Business tables are interrelated. Any changes the user makes using E-Business application forms, this change can update many tables at once. Though, using tools such SQL*Plus to modify a row in one table without making the corresponding changes in related table, this action could result to that E-business tables get out of synchronisation with each other. It means that there is a risk retrieving incorrect information and unpredictable result throughout the E-Business applications.

The bottom line, the user must not use database tools like SQL*Plus, Data Browser, database triggers or any other tool to modify E-Business data unless been instructed by Oracle Support Team.

Finally, E-Business application automatically checks that the changes are valid before applying them to the related tables. In addition, E-Business application keeps track of who changes information. If the user modify the E-Business tables using tools like SQL*Plus and other database tools do not keep a record of changes.
